You can link your Google Calendar to Upheal, so you can see all of your upcoming events in one place and avoid scheduling conflicts.

How does the Google Calendar connection work?

When your Google Calendar is connected, you'll see all of the calendars and events from your Google account in your Upheal calendar. You can choose which calendars to show, rename them in Upheal, and change their display colors.

Currently, you can't see your Upheal events in your Google Calendar, but we plan to make that possible in the future.

Connecting your Google Calendar

  1. Go to your Settings > Calendar.

  2. Under Google Calendar, click Connect.

  3. Follow the instructions to acknowledge HIPAA compliance and sign in with your Google account.

  4. When asked if Upheal can have access to your Google account, click Allow.

That's it! You're connected, and you'll see events from your Google calendar in Upheal.

Disconnecting your Google Calendar

Disconnecting from Google Calendar

If you had your Google Calendar linked to Upheal before this update (March 2025), you have a two-way connection. This means you can see your Upheal appointments in your Google Calendar, and your Google Calendar events in Upheal. As long as you don't disconnect Google Calendar from Upheal, you'll keep this connection.

With our latest update, new connections are read-only. If you disconnect and reconnect your Google and Upheal calendars, you won't be able to restore the two-way connection. With a read-only connection:

  • You'll be able to see your Google events in Upheal

  • You can choose which calendars from your Google account to show in Upheal

  • You won't be able to see your Upheal events in Google

We're actively working on reintroducing two-way sync between Google Calendar and Upheal!

To disconnect your Google Calendar:

  1. Go to your Settings > Calendar.

  2. Under Google Calendar, click Disconnect.

Now, you won't see events from your Google Calendar in Upheal.

Choosing which Google Calendars to see in Upheal

When you connect your Google account, you might see multiple calendars. You can choose which to display by checking or unchecking the box beside the calendar name.

Changing a calendar's name and color

To change a calendar's name and color, click the three-dot icon beside the calendar's name. Then, you can type in a new name, and click on a different color.
