Do you store your notes in an EHR? Smart Fill in our Google Chrome browser extension copies over your Upheal notes in a single click.
Which EHRs can use Smart Fill?
Smart Fill currently works with:
SimplePractice
TherapyNotes
Owl Practice
Jane App
Which note templates work with Smart Fill?
Smart Fill works by matching section titles, so you can use any note template (including custom!) as long as the section headers are the same in both places.
Using Smart Fill
Good to know:
π Smart Fill works no matter how you capture sessions or generate notes
Go to your progress note page/form in your EHR.
Open Upheal's browser extension, and choose the corresponding session.
Make sure your note templates match in both places. When you hover over the Smart Fill button, fields that will be filled get highlighted in purple.
Click Smart Fill, and your template is filled out automatically.
Troubleshooting Smart Fill
Why isn't Smart Fill filling out my progress note?
If Smart Fill isn't working correctly for you, here are a few tips:
Make sure your templates match. If the section headings are worded or spelled differently, Smart Fill might not detect the match.
Remember, you can use custom note templates too, as long as they match in both Upheal and your EHR.
Check character/word limits. Your EHR might have a limit for the length of a section. If a section in your Upheal note is longer than your EHR allows, it will be cut off.
You might be able to shorten the note section in your template in Upheal (choose the Brief option). Or, you can use Smart Edit to shorten sections in individual notes.
Double-check your setup: Make sure you're using a supported EHR and using Google Chrome as your browser.
