You can keep and store the audio recordings from your sessions for additional therapeutic or supervisory review.
Note: Upheal does not keep any recordings automatically due to privacy reasons. Recording storage must be initiated by the provider and approved by the client.
Consent
Before keeping a recording, you'll need to check that it's okay with your client. This is part of the consent agreement we provide between your practice and clients (US version here), which says:
Upon notifying you, we as your provider may store your audio and video recordings in Upheal or elsewhere for further analysis to enhance your individual care. Upon your request, we will delete recordings immediately.
Adhering to these guidelines can help maintain transparency and trust with your clients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment on the Upheal platform. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Saving a recording
How to save a session audio recording depends on how you capture your session:
Upheal video call
In your call toolbar, click Upheal assistant.
Switch on Keep the session audio.
Your client sees this request:
If the client agrees, you'll see a confirmation message in the bottom left corner of your screen.
Browser extension
If you're recording a session on a different platform using our browser extension, you can find the option to keep the recording once you've stopped recording.
When your session is finished, switch on Keep the recording after processing before clicking Upload and process.
Audio recorder and iOS app
If you chose Record audio in Upheal in your browser or used our iOS app to capture a session, you can find the option to keep the recording once the session is finished.
At the end of the session, switch on Keep the recording after processing before clicking Upload for processing.
Listening to a recording
If you kept the audio from a session and want to listen to it, you can find the recording at the top of that session's page, and press the play button to listen.
