If you've had a mock session with our AI demo client Alex, or if you're considering it, we expect that you might have some questions!

Why did Upheal make Alex?

We created an AI voice for you to speak with so that you can test our notes easily and be sure about Upheal before trying it with your real clients.

Was Alex trained with Upheal session data?

No, Alex was not trained on, or made from, any sessions, clients, or data from Upheal. Alex was created from publicly sourced data. His personality was shaped by our in-house clinicians' input.

How do I hold a session with Alex?

You'll find the AI demo client when you click on your name in the menu in Upheal. Talk to Alex just like you'd talk to any real client. He's designed to stay focused on the session, and will openly share about his Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

How long should my session with Alex be?

We recommend talking with Alex for three to ten minutes to get the best idea of Upheal's note-taking capabilities. The longer your session is, the more detailed and complete your notes will be.

The session will end automatically after 15 minutes of conversation, or after 60 seconds of silence.

Are my conversations with Alex private?

Yes, your sessions with Alex are completely private. We're not monitoring your conversations with him or using these sessions for AI model training.

If there's an AI client, is Upheal planning to create an AI therapist too?

No, Upheal is not creating an AI therapist. There is no replacement for the people who work in the mental health field, nor for the skills, knowledge, empathy, adaptability, and humanity they use to help others. Our goal is to support mental health professionals, never replace them. ❤️
