There are several ways to capture your sessions and get notes from Upheal β we understand that it can be overwhelming! This will help you figure out how to use Upheal with your existing workflow.
Watch this quick video for an overview of our session capture methods:
What does "capturing a session" mean?
In order for Upheal to generate notes for a session, it needs to "hear" and transcribe your session. Capturing means getting that information into Upheal so it can create a note for you. We don't store audio after your note is generated, unless you specify that you want to keep it.

My sessions are in person
If your sessions are in person, use the In-person option, or our iOS app:
The In-person option in your browser (at app.upheal.io) lets you capture audio using your computer, tablet, or phone
Our iOS app for iPhones and iPads
Just run Upheal on your device in the room where you're holding your session, close to you and your client.
My sessions are online
If you hold your sessions online, you have multiple options:
The Virtual option lets you capture a session from any online calling platform. We recommend this method for speed and simplicity.
Or:
Upheal's browser extension captures online sessions in Google Chrome. See how it's different from our Virtual option here.
Upheal's Zoom integration works seamlessly with your current Zoom workflow
I don't want to capture sessions, but I still want help with notes
If you don't want to capture your sessions as they happen, you can type and/or dictate observations of your sessions, and get full, structured notes. This is a great option if you or your clients would prefer not to use Upheal during sessions, or as a backup in case session capture doesn't go as planned.
I want to Upload my own recordings
If recording on your own device is already part of your workflow, or if you hold sessions somewhere without an internet connection (and therefore can't run Upheal on your device during the session), you can upload your own recordings.
I want to use Upheal's video calling platform
Upheal video calls are secure and HIPAA-compliant. The calling platform will feel familiar to your and your clients, and it's a quick, easy way to get your notes from Upheal.
Plus, during Upheal video calls, you can see past session notes on the side of your screen, and schedule upcoming sessions.
I talk to my clients on the phone
While we haven't developed an ideal way to capture phone calls, you can try this work-around.
